5 Easy Ways to Personalize your Store

I don’t know about you, but I sometimes find myself browsing through eCommerce stores and thinking, “Wow, this brand looks very similar to that other brand.”

  • Even though I love Shopify, some Shopify stores just kind of start to look the same. You don’t need to (nor should you) spend $50,000 on a website. In this episode, we’re covering the basics of personalization, because it can get intricate. You probably don’t need to apply advanced tactics yet, so start with converting the traffic you’re already getting by using these small changes.

  • Brands often like to sleep on their About page, but your About page is a really important pillar page on your website. Your About page should say everything about your brand, what your values are, what makes you different, what the benefit is for shopping with you, and it should talk about you; The Founder.
  • Make it personal, add a photo and share your story! Because people can try to copy your tagline, your mission, and your vision but nobody can copy you. And even if they try they can never do it as well.
  • Have a call to action at the end of your About page.

[06:52] Your Contact Us Page    

  • The Contact Us page is a really highly visited page. Again, most people are going there usually because they can't find the answer on your website, which is not great. We want to minimize the number of outbound contacts because answering emails and inquiries costs time and money. So what if you personalize your Contact Us page to have more information about your brand or have links to frequently asked questions? The possibilities to present information are endless

  • Video is super important in terms of product-based businesses. It can increase conversion to 300%-500% on product pages, depending on where you put the video. If you can put a video into your lightbox or gallery that would be amazing. The second best place to put your product videos would be below your product lightbox, in your description, and make sure it's mobile-friendly. If you have a great maker story video, you can even include it on every single product page.
